Major Story Arcs

Ignition

Dissatisfied with his place in the lab, Petrov steals a gun that once belonged to Doctor Alchemy and uses it to kill his superior. Finding that he enjoys murder, he continues with a rash of cop killings that puts the city on edge. Though his element gun can to be used to restructure any element, he only uses it to freeze his victims, framing Captain Cold for his crimes. He targets individuals who he views as intellectual threats, eventually attacking Ashley Zolomon. He is stopped from killing her by the Flash. The two fight, and Flash defeats him. Before Flash can take him into custody, Captain Cold appears, impaling Petrov on an icicle as revenge. Petrov broke the rules of The Rogues by framing Cold for the murders and violating the Rogues code of ethics.

Powers and Abilities

Petrov has no known superhuman powers or abilities. He is quite intelligent, and knowledgeable in the field of forensic science.

Equipment and Weapons

Petrov wields an element gun, which is capable of transmuting any element into any other element.

Justice League Unlimited

A character wearing the Mr Element costume appears in the episode "Flash and Substance" as one of the patrons at a villain bar in Central City. As Dr Alchemy also appears in the scene, this person is presumably Petrov. He does not speak in his appearance.
