In the year 2606 Alfa Agency, the armed wing of the Council of Balance, is preparing to fight in collaboration with the Sisterhood of the Telepaths the mysterious Mute, shapeshifting beings of unknown origin. While delicate balances are revealed and hidden among the forces in play, the Alfa agents involved in the mission fall prey to mysterious visions that probably come from a distant past.
