In the Sun!

The first adventurous arc comes to an end, as the aftermath(ematical!) of the Lich's destruction and mayhem settles in on the land of Ooo - literally, the dust settles, covering everything... It is our favorite heroes' time to shine (up the place) and put everything back to normal.
But is it back to normal? Or on to even better? We saw from the last issue that the planet had a giant chunk missing... we assume this was from the Lich, but was it? The second ending of this story gives us a bit of insight into the world as only a few (from current times) know it... It is quite an amazing reveal as we learn some truths behind the great Mushroom War!
Jumping back into the adventure, and away from the second and interesting ending to this arc - as we have come to expect, we do have a great cast of characters, and a very inventive resolution to the problem at hand... they even managed to fit a "Finn and Jake save a princess from the Ice King scene in..." hilarity ensues!
The art and story are perfectly torn from the screen of the animated series - I am continually amazed how both align so gloriously. If you aren't watching the show, you should. Seriously. There are even new episodes airing each week: Mondays 7:30P on the Cartoon Network! Also! Be sure to check the very bottom of each page, there are often side anecdotes and writer notes from Ryan North - adding even more fun to this already fantastic book.
On to the second story... For those of you not familiar with "Party Pat", you may have not recognized the second story as part of the Adventure Time Universe. I recently watched a re-run of the Belly of the Beast episode of Adventure Time, so as I read through the second story, it felt oddly familiar. The art was very different from the main-stream Adventure Time look and feel, so that may have thrown some people off the scent as well (as it did for me initially) - but rest assured, the second story is an Adventure Time story. Where else would an entire story be devoted to the Ultimate Party Dip for the best party of all time in the stomach of a the Adventure Time Giant?
Next issue, we are left with only a mere tease: "Next Month...Time-Bending Adventures!!!" - Well that, and the promise of some of the best cartoon art, comedic stories and times for ADVENTURE ever!
