    You need "Life Support"

There is not much I can say about Action 900 that likely another reviewer has not explored, partly because this was a well planned out comic and a wonderful celebration of #900 issues of Action Comics.

I have only read the issues dealing with Death of the Endless when it comes to the Black Ring arcs and I wasn't really floored, I admit that I was not seeing the whole picture.  Paul Cornell explores the best angle of the Lex Luthor myhos (man verses God archetype) and balances the field.  Think of in Watchmen Ozy becomes Doctor Manhattan.  Lex Luthor is raised to a level of a God and what does he choose to do with such power?  If you haven't been reading Action Comics, this issues alone is the main event anyway.  To add to the celebration there are many short stories added to the mix, many are short and only have an impact if you are a fan of Superman, but they all have their own merits one way or another.

My favorite story in the whole issue was the "Life Support" story.  It requires the reader to know the Superman origin, but that should be okay since the Superman Mythos is one of the most known stories in the whole world.  This story is so good it made me cry a little.

If you can find this issue and have not read it yet, pick it up.  It may be the best Superman related anniversary issues released in a long time.

    Cheers
