    Silver Age Supreme 0

In the early issues of this volume of Action Comics, we witnessed Grant Morrison doing his take on Superman’s Golden Age adventures. With these last two issues, Grant’s showing his love of the Silver Age Superman just as he did with All-Star Superman. This story also reminded me of Alan Moore’s Supreme with the reworked Silver Age villains, and that’s not a bad thing. This issue will no doubt frustrate many readers who simply hate thinking because it involves (GASP!) time travel, but if you’ve b...

You Can Fly! You Can Fly! 0

Grant Morrison is continuing to deliver in all aspects when it comes to Superman. Last issue we got the introduction of a great new villain in the Anti-Superman Army, and here we see just how big of a threat they can truly be by turning Superman's BODY into KRYPTONITE! Ouch! I know they've been around in the DC Universe for a long time, but I'm sure I'm not alone here when I say a lot of people are annoyed by them. But despite my op...

    Inception 0

A lot of theories were going around about The Little Man, but it's here, right away this issue begins by confirming his major role in whatever Morrison has planned. The Anti-Superman Army is established as an ongoing threat for Superman, likely to be dispatched one at a time, or maybe towards the end en masse. But The Little Man is key, and the rest have some crazy designs with a lot of nice variety. The time frame for this issue is cemented in a deep way. It's like a whole story crammed into a s...
