After the evening newscast, Lana asks Clark to attend dinner with her and a special guest. The guest turns out to be a man who is an older looking version of Pa Kent! Not only that, he seems to know everything about Clark - including his secret identity!

Meanwhile, a mysterious vagrant has appeared on the streets of Metropolis who has the ability to make anything he desires happen on command!

For some time now I have been reviewing issues of Superman and Action Comics from the 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s and even the 70s, but not until this issue from 1980 have I read an issue that has kept me guessing page after page. While in a previous review I mentioned that starting in the 1970s comics started to get good, I think they were just moving in that direction, and the 1980s were when comics really got good.  In this issue we have a double mystery.
