    1. Untitled Superman story (Siegal/Shuster/Cassidy) - Lois and Clark are covering the war in Europe, and anxiously await the peace negotiations between Toran and Galonia. However, the Galonian delegation is blown up on its way to the meeting, and it turns out that evil genius Luthor is playing one nation against another in an attempt to dominate the world. This issue marks the first appearances of Lex Luthor, the Daily Planet (adapted from the radio show) and the DC logo in a circle on the cover.

    A Very Noteworthy Issue of Action Comics 0

    This is an issue of Action Comics that is often overlooked when people talk about Superman's career, however it is actually very noteworthy for a number of reasons;It all begins with the cover - this cover, while not particularly noteworthy for its art, is the first time the DC circle logo appears on a comic cover.Next, the city that Clark and Lois are from is named ' Metropolis' (previously it had been Cleveland, Ohio) and the 'Daily Star' is now referred to as ' The Daily Planet'.
