Amazing!

Everything in this issue is awesome. I loved just about everything, except maybe the artwork for Lois. I could have done without just about all of it. But the interplay between Luthor and everyone in this book was so top notch it outshines anything that might be wrong with it.

I do want some answers about how Superman gets captured and strapped into an electric chair. Th end of Issue #1 certainly showed that Superman could be injured. But to be trapped and strapped into an electric chair, treated like a lab rat, etc... Seemed like he had been out of commission for an awfully long time. But that's OK, the ends definitely justified the means in this case. Top notch dramatic Superhero fair. Morrison does it again.

The Story: Superman escapes from military custody. My Thoughts:This second issue of the series offers readers something we've never really seen before while reading a Superman comic. Grant Morrison continues to surprise and keep readers on the edge of their seats with his interpretation of the early years of Superman's crime fighting career. The Good: I have absolutely no idea why, but I can't stop gushing over how amazing Rags Morales artwork is in this series. Everything has exactly the right amount of force and weight. The action is ACTION. And everything else is action waiting to happen. Good god does Morrison write a great Lex Luthor. THIS is EXACTLY the kind of Lex Luthor who makes me like reading Superman.
