Although this series has had a few ups and downs I think this is the best point to get back on track and have an amazing last run before Morrison leaves. I really like how Ben Oliver is doing art on this issue as I was a bit disappointed when he stopped doing it for Batwing.

This issue shows Clark getting his job at the Daily Star and we see when Clark decided to move into his own apartment. After getting knocked down by an RPG whilst trying to save a woman a kid decides to steal his cape. Lois and Jimmy having pictures of what appears to be one of (if not the) first appearances of Superman in Metropolis. Perry holding the reputation of the Planet tells them that he needs more than their word and what could easily be a photoshop'd picture to make him gamble the papers reputation. The kid who goes home with the cape find his dad beating his mother and brother and pulls his brother out the road. The father then tries to stab through the cape but the knife breaks. The kid then punches his father through the cape. Next we see Clark finally moving into his new apartment and how he gets along with the neighbours. The father goes after his kids and pulls the one without the cape out of the way and tells him to watch his brother get hit by a train. Superman jumps between the train and the kid who says he was only borrowing the cape with Superman just thanking him for looking after it and saying he wont be bullied again. Jimmy with Lois who were going to visit Clark catch all this with Jimmy taking a picture as proof for Perry.

I liked this issue and it's nice too see how Superman wasn't upset about the kid stealing his cape but the fact he was getting mistreated by his father. It's also nice to see Lois coming up with the name Superman. Seeing how strong the cape was and the fact it was a kid running around with it was also a nice touch.

Final verdict. A great issue too what is the better of the two Superman series out the now and I would highly recommend it.

This may not have been the most exciting issue of Action Comics published since Grant Morrison took over the book, but it’s well-crafted and has a sentimental charm all its own. By the second page, George Taylor tells you the key to reading this plot: “The story never comes before the people in the story.” True to these words, Morrison uses his issue #0 to flesh out the unique personalities in this version of Metropolis. I’m continually impressed by this New 52 version of Clark Kent. I was perpe...

The Beginning Story worth 2.99, but the backup just adds cost. 0

The Backup Story, or a digital copy usually brings up the price of a comic from 2.99 to 3.99, and in this case, it brings down the comic's rate. The main Morrison story is, in my opinion, the best of his New 52 run, and Ben Oliver's art certainly helps it's case. The Backup is dreadful, however, and I felt that it was a nasty wat to make me spend 3.99. Superman Action Comics 0, is the best Morrison story of the New 52, but the Jurgens, Giffen, Merino arc on Superman is much better. BUY- Yes (Bar...
