The Ace of Winchesters is a magical rifle made to kill Demons. It was made by a mystic occultist who was in the Texas Rangers. It is made from "halo-steel and hades-gems, bound in the ivory of saints".

The rifle fell into the possession of a man named Zeerke and was sought by collector Jerry O'Flynn, who hired John Constantine and Brendan Finn to retrieve the rifle. Zeerke initially demanded for a sum of £500,000 in exchange for the rifle until he later doubled his asking price, which forced Constantine and Finn to stealing it. O'Flynn took ownership of the Ace of Winchesters and sold it for a hefty profit.

The Ace of Winchesters ended up on display in the Gotham City Museum of Antiquities. The demon Mawzir hired Catwoman to stealing the rifle for him in order to prevent it from falling into the hands of his nemesis Tommy Monaghan and using it against him. Monaghan and his associates, along with Catwoman and Etrigan, managed to retrieve the rifle and kill Mawzir.

    Other media appearance

The Ace of Winchesters appeared in the short lived Constantine tv series in the episodies "The devil's vynil" and "Waitnig for the man".

The Ace of Winchesters most probably inspired The Colt, an Old-West-made, demon-killing pistol seen in the TV series Supernatural. The show's creator, Eric Kripke, claims to be a fan of Hellblazer and even based the look of the angel Castiel on John Constantine. Kripke's main characters Sam and Dean also have Winchester for their surnames.
