    Aarkus

    Character » Aarkus appears in 155 issues.

    Aarkus was once the Golden Age villain-turned-hero called The Vision, whose people came to our reality to serve as midwives to beings born from Cosmic Cubes.

    They should revive him.

    I think he's cooler than the modern vision.

    They did revive Aarkus...a long time ago apparently...he's now the demon called D'Spayre.

    He's D'Spayre?! Okay that I didn't know. I would like to see them bring Aarkus back, specially after the Avengers/Invaders series. And since the Vision (a character I love) has changed a lot since Avengers Disassembled (not in a bad way) but there could be room for two Visions now.

    @PrinceIMC: I read that he was restored to his old self again, but he still gets no respect and remains an obscure character, I think there should be a NEW D'Spayre who comes to conquer the MARVEL universe and only Arkus can stop him!

    Ironically they did bring him back during that Avengers/Invaders mini-series but still haven't done anything with him. But like my other comment there are two Visions now, classic Vision and Kang/Vision but I still think there could be room for Arkus the Vision.

    @whirlwind6: Aarkus did come back, first during the 90s until fairly recently as Despayre, and then Doctor Strange cured him of the corruption of the Cosmic Cube and he became Vision again. He was most recently in Avengers/Invaders and Invaders Now.

    Why do I have a feeling that golden age vision "inspired" Martian Manhunter?

    @w0nd: I don't think so.

    I think that the modern vision is just supposed to be a modern day homage to him. Like how Hal Jordan is the modern day Alan Scott/Green Lantern

    I like him.

    Same.

    I think Marvel should use him in their cosmic storylines, and maybe even team up with the Guardians of the Galaxy.
