    The first issue of A Distant Soil. Rieken and D'mer save Lianna Scott from alien beings trying to capture her. The alien beings succeed in capturing her brother Jason. Later Rieken, D'mer, Liana, Brent Donewitz, and Antonio Minetti gather in Minetti's apartment where Rieken relates the tale of his race and Liana's father.
