Thor is summoned by Dr. Strange while rescuing a child from a speeding truck. On his arrival to the Sanctum Santorum, Thor finds the doctor passed out on the floor! What mystical forces have incapacitated Dr. Strange? Enter Baron Mordo!

"At the Mercy of Loki, Prince of Evil!" - Answering a plea for help from Doctor Strange who has been weakened in a fight with Mordo, Thor become Doctor Blake for a lengthy surgery. But in so doing he must ignore a call to action from Odin. While both Odin and Thor are preoccupied, Loki sneaks to Earth, prepared to bedevil Thor once again.

Can't Get Past the Second Page 0

There's a lot of good stuff in this issue, including another Tale of Asgard, and guest appearances by Doctor Strange and The Avengers. But I really can't give it a higher rating than about 2.5, because right from the get-go it lacks credibility.  On the splash page, Thor appears to be wielding his hammer against the citizens of New York - a cheap gimmick, because on the very next page, he slams it on the pavement. Why? Transmit the force of impact miles away to a place where there's a runaway tr...
