    Cartoon Network's hit animated series is back at IDW! The legendary samurai known only as 'Jack' is stranded in a strange future ruled by the demonic wizard, Aku. His quest to return back to the past has tested him many times, but now the stakes are higher than ever. Can an ancient relic known as the Rope of Eons finally take him home? Writer Jim Zub (Skullkickers, Street Fighter) and artist Andy Suriano (Character Designer on the original Samurai Jack TV series) begin a new era of samurai adventure!

    Samurai Jack is a series that holds a special place in my heart. Very few animated series can match it's unique story and interesting, diverse elements. Therefore, when the series ended, I was irked that we didn't get a few more seasons. I'm still hoping for a few animated films that continue Jack's quest to defeat the demonic Aku and return to the past to undo the evil the villainous entity has wrought.     It's got that Samurai Jack kinda feel. "GOTTA GET BACK, BACK TO THE PAST, SAMURAI JACK!" Samurai Jack is BACK! After being prematurely canceled in it's 4th season, fans of the series knew that we'd never see Jack defeat Aku and return to the past. Even though it was teased that an older Jack would kill Aku, as seen in season 3 "Jack and the Traveling Creatures", we never saw this happen.
