Now, with a moment to breathe, she has time to think... and HAS to think. Not least because everyone else wants to mold her in their image. In this issue, Generation Hope's future is decided.

    Generation Hope has a much needed slow issue to present a good look at the team, but unfortunately, that look exposes some glaring weaknesses that do not bode well for this series or the current direction of the X-Men.The biggest problem is that Hope, the main character of this series and a major player in the current direction of the X-Franchise, is just an obnoxious character. She was fine and sympathetic during her run in the Cable series, but since Second Coming, the character has been rathe...

    Cover Image: Straight-up, I hate this cover. The style isn't appropriate for what is inside, and the image isn't congruous with the last few Coipel covers that have been genius. It just seems like it was done by someone who clearly didn't know the characters (see Teon or Idie)  The Good (or Great) I have to admit that Gillen's writing seemed flat out terrible for the beginnings of this series, which throws up some major red flags when it comes to the fact that he is taking over Uncanny X-men aft...

    Cover:   I can't say that I care much for this art style.  For one, I'm not able to tell the difference between Kenji and Teon.   The Good:   All the characters, simply put.  The way that they are depicted in this comic is superb.  When Logan, or Charles, or Erik talks, it's them, there's no real other way to describe them.  In other words, Mr. Gillen really, really get these characters.  We can ever extend that thinking to Hope and her new lights and say that their characterizations, currentl...
