John Romita Jr. is killing this book... 0

I want to like Avengers, I REALLY do. The story that Bendis is trying to tell is a good one, and there's some genuinely great moments in this book, like the brief moment of banter between Noh-Varr and Spider-Man. From a storytelling perspective, this book is great, if a little bit cluttered. The problem lies with the ugly, ugly artwork of John Romita Jr. It's like he's not even trying anymore. The first issue was okay, the second issue was bad, and this third issue set new standards for the word...

The Avengers Have Seen Better Days Than This 0

In this issue, time continues to rupture even further as the Avengers face off against another timeline's Apocalypse and his Horsemen. Plot progression takes a break to make way for an action-packed issue, but both the writing and the art fail to fully deliver.  This is not to say nothing good is to be found here. Story: First off I'd just like to say that the preview theatre voices were stuck in my head throughout the whole issue. The Avengers are fighting Apocalypse and his crew and it seems that the time line is severely messed up. They all keep fighting until Apocalypse and his crew are randomly teleported away.
