And guest starring Spider-Man!!After being abducted by shape-shifting alien Skrulls, Jessica is reentering her life... lost and not sure who her friends are. Jessica is approached to join planetary defense agency S.W.O.R.D. by its leader, Abigail Brand. She accepts. Her first mission takes her to Madripoor where she takes on a Skrull posing as Spider-Man. She kills it before it kills her. Weakened after the battle, she is picked up by the Madripoor police. As she tries to escape custody, Madame Hydra arrives and slaughters all of the surrounding police officers. She then summons Jessica to join her...

    Crime noir or Mass Mess? 0

     I've read reviews that compare the last two issues of, Spider-Woman, to another book Bendis and Maleev have worked on in the past, Alias. Having never read the former, I can't positively say the same type of crime noir mysteries translates here, if that's indeed the case, but that's not to say there isn't enough to rave about in this second issue.  There is definitely something for new and old fans of the Dark Angel of Marvel Comics, yet somehow I've found I could not give #2 that extra star to...

    If you've ever tried to reading the origin of Jessica Drew, you're easily going to need a bottle of tylenol after wards. Try a spider evolved into a woman by the High Evolutionary later revised into a British SHIELD double agent. Bendis loves to pick comic storyline messes to try and carve a niche' but it's interesting that he's chosen to ignore Jessica Drew's supporting cast role as an investigator in the Wolverine volume 1 title that takes place in Mandripoor.  Building off the Secret Invasion...
