The villain Monarch gains the power to manipulate time and becomes Extant. He and his mysterious boss try to recreate the universe by eating away at time itself. The heroes of the DC Universe, including alternate and past versions of themselves, must stop Extant and restart time.
So i just finished reading emerald twilight. I want to see more of paralax before (johns retconned it). And i read the Zero Hour wiki page it sounds interesting but how about someone give me some advice.
It was the first comic I read then I went back and read Emerald Twilight. But to answer your question. Yes. I deem it better than most of the universe spanning minis out there
It is extremely uneven in quality, and there is some fight jobbing and nonsense (I can recreate the Universe, but the sun wore me out, phew!). But I'd say it's worth reading, if only because Parallax' costume is so damn nifty.
Yeah, I agree, this is on the better side of the 90's in terms of quality. I much prefer my deus ex machina to come from weirdo energy powers and timeline shenanigans than crappy characterization, and I think Zero Hour delivers in that regard.
