    Young Justice

Team » Young Justice appears in 269 issues.

Young Justice started as another legacy team consisting of a generation of sidekicks younger than the original Teen Titans lineup. Like the Teen Titans, they would eventually increase membership beyond sidekicks and make a name for themselves beyond their mentors.

    Jerry Whitworth writes...

Hey Greg, I probably say it every time I post, but love your work. Been a fan since Gargoyles, miss Spectacular Spider-Man, and glad you were able to develop Young Justice (love all the nods to DC Comics, really shows you care about the material).

My first question is more of a general curiosity than anything else. With Earth-16's White, Red, and Green Martians, I was wondering why red over the Yellow Martians of the Pre-Crisis Earth-1? I know the Green Martians made red clones of themselves for Saturn for the retcon predating the company's latest reboot.

My second question is was the Wildstorm library of characters available for YJ? I was ecstatic to see Icon and Rocket and just wondered if the door was open for some of DC's other recent acquisitions like Gen¹³ and DV8 being in the realm of possibility (I hope this doesn't count as a spoiler request).

Thank you very much and I apologize for the stress Ask Greg can generate. I know I get frustrated just reading over spoiler requests and repeated questions so I can imagine your feelings. I hope it doesn't discourage you from continuing Ask Greg too much.

    Greg responds...

Though my knowledge of DC Comics is quite extensive, I'm unfamiliar with Yellow Martians.

Wildstorm was NOT available when we began. I'd be interested in incorporating some of those characters if we got a third season. But so far, I've only included one - and only in a stealth way, that not even the company noticed.

Does anyone know who he put in?

I'd say Grifter. Thor knows DC has to do SOMETHING good with him, so making him really cool in the YJ universe could be a step in the right direction.

Seeing how he worded it, I think we can rule out season 1 in which the wildstorm character appears...since it wasnt available to them when they began?

great, this is gonna bother me now...

@Bestostero: Well that leaves only eight episodes, seeing as episode 8 was completely on a alien world that I doubt one will find Fairchild on

Means nothing, Greg has largely completed the season, this could mean the character appears in an episode we haven't seen yet, which is past tense to him as he already worked the episode

I would love to see Voodoo actually, like how she was in the WildCATS animated show, she was younger and instead of a stripper she was a ballet dancer lol

It's funny because the whole Culling story they used to introduce the Wildstorm kids into the DCU is sort of like the Invasion subplot with the kidnapped metahuman team. @Bestostero:

    There was a Wildcats show?
