Will Wolverine 3 be a bigger success than X-Men: Apocalypse?
Probably. X-Men Apocalypse didn't do very good. The only reason it made more money than most of the other movies is because of American movies being advertised over seas a lot lot more today than they were five and ten years ago. Also, inflation. By today's standards both X2 and X3 could of been billion dollar movies. Even Wolverine Origins was bigger in the states than the two X-Men movies without Wolverine. On top of that, this being advertised as Jackman's last Wolverine will probably give it more hype than Apocalypse had.
In MY eyes, it will. But in the publics eyes, I doubt it. The first two Wolverine films didn't do so good with the public's perception, and yet I loved them BOTH, I ate them up. Though it does annoy me when they don't stay true to the comics but that applies to both Wolverine and the X-Men films. Wolverine isn't 6 feet tall for example. Also, Comics are supposed to be timeless and the same should apply to the films. Dont care how many times it happens, it never gets old when Joker escapes Arkham. Spider-Man should always have an Aunt May.. That sort of thing. They should stop stressing the time-continuity so much, the way they did it doesnt make sense anyways.
Although I will say that looking back, X-Men Apocalypse wasn't that bad at all, I might even watch it again. Doubtful though
Depends how it's marketed

Not that much
Not that much
It would of been close. Days of Future Past made a world total of $748 million and only made $233 million in the states. In today's dollars X2 made $309 million in the states. Usually more hype in America equals more hype overseas, so it could of made more money overseas than DoFP did. On top of that, in the early 2000's movies received less advertising and played in less theatres than they do today, so it could of made even more if it had the same quality and hype of today's standards that it had in 2003.
