..Few years ago, I am sure I heard they were doing a Magneto film then it all went quiet, anyone heard anything?

I'm pretty sure that what they were going to do with Magneto's back-story got integrated into X-Men: First Class instead of him getting his own film.

Pretty much what oldnightcrawler said. They decided to mix Magneto's back story into X-Men: First Class instead, though I'm not sure if they are still willing to give Magneto his own movie.

And the reason was cause the producers didn't know if using Ian was a good choice lol. It was suppose to be the young and old Magneto. I guess they knew by the time they film it, Ian wouldn't stand a chance. Even though it was suppose to come out (years ago) right after Wolverine.

The last time I heard they put on hold but, then, they forgot about it. I think.

Pretty sure that XMO: Wolverine's failure ended up sinking that ship, for the most part.
