It is awesome to see Havok again
X-Men
Team » X-Men appears in 13416 issues.
The X-Men are a superhero team of mutants founded by Professor Charles Xavier. They are dedicated to helping fellow mutants and sworn to protect a world that fears and hates them.
What Do the X-Men: Regenesis Gold and Blue Team Teasers Reveal?
The addition of Havok on X-Factor seems odd due to his recent adventures in space with the Starjammers. Is he going to be settling back on Earth by being part of X-Factor Investigations? Is he going to try to lead the team or follow orders from Madrox? I like my X-Factor separate from the rest of the X-Universe. Hopefully this won't drag them into whatever X-shenanigans that are coming along.
Motto.
I read X-Factor because they aren't involved in all the nonsense the rest of the X-books are all involved in. I hope it stays that way. I'm sure if PAD has his way though it will. I'm hopeful.
Well Marvel's gotta give Gold Team a chance, right? Blue team was much more interesting last time around. Is it just me or does the Gold team seem more...exciting? Just look at their poses and background. The Blue team is just standing there hanging around Utopia.
But the Gold group (which I'm sure is just to show their alliance rather than overall teamings) does look much more interesting and cool. I mean X-Men Legacy and X-Factor, and X-Force!! Wicked.
So on X-Force we got Psylocke, Deadpool, Fantomex, and Nightcrawler. On Wolverine and the X-Men we got What looks like Shadowcat, Rachael Grey, Canonball, and about 3 others. On Legacy we got Rogue, Gambit, and two others. On X-Factor it looks like the team we've always had plus Havok for some odd reason.
For Generation Hope we got Shaw, Hope, and those 5 lights nobody seems to care about. The X-Men have Jubilee, Warpath (looks like him), Domino (looks like her), and 2 others. Uncanny X-Men looks like Emma, Cyclops, Namor, Colossonaut, Iceman, and Magneto. New Mutants looks like a lot of the old team members plus X-Man.
At least this is what they look like to me.
Where is Polaris, Storm, and Angel?
:
@Gambit1024
Angel looks to be on the "X-Men" team which has Jubilee, Warpath and possibly Magik or Psylocke. Has anyone else noticed that Betsy is possibly on both Blue and Gold teams? Storm was on the alternate cover of Uncanny #1 so she is with Cyclops. Polaris will be on Gold team of course since Havok is.
Also, Iceman looks to be on Logan's team.
Hope's team has Four of the Five Lights. Idie is set to be on Logan's team if she doesn't die is Schism. Her death could be what starts Schism?
THAT is how Wolverine should be drawn every fu&%ing time. that is logan, not the tall and skinny brooding guy but the short super built and habitually pissed off man.
I wanted to say Angel for that team too, but the outline looks odd. I think Storm will be with the Blue Team as well, but I can't see her outline in any of the other covers. I was thinking that Polaris looks like the shadow on Jubilee's team, the one next to her. If Iceman's with Logan, who's next to Emma Frost? And Idie will most likely be with Logan. Good call.: Angel looks to be on the "X-Men" team which has Jubilee, Warpath and possibly Magik or Psylocke. Has anyone else noticed that Betsy is possibly on both Blue and Gold teams? Storm was on the alternate cover of Uncanny #1 so she is with Cyclops. Polaris will be on Gold team of course since Havok is. Also, Iceman looks to be on Logan's team. @Gambit1024
So, I really think Hope is Jean reborn in a new way. Which would be weird because then her potential son raises her.
@Gambit1024:
I believe next to Emma is Danger. The shape of her face and those designs on her legs look like her. I am hoping I am wrong. I really want Iceman to be on Scott's team. But it does seem like he is on Logan's.
About Idie, does anyone one else think her death could be what causes Schism?
PS
Where is Northstar?
Let's see what we have so far.
Gold Teams
Uncanny X-Force: Psylocke, Deadpool, Fantomex, and Nightcrawler? (Bringing him back ALREADY?)
Wolverine and the X-Men: Wolverine...the rest I honestly can't tell...Rockslide maybe?
X-Men Legacy: Rogue, Gambit...dunno the others.
X-Factor: Havok, Strong Guy, Madrox, Wolfsbane, Syren.
Blue Teams
Generation Hope: Sebastian Shaw, Hope Summers, Primal, Transonic, Velocidad, Zero.
X-men: Jubilee, dunno the others.
Uncanny X-Men: Emma Frost, Magneto, and...is that the new Colossonaught? (Colossus as the juggernaut?) Not sure with the others.
New Mutants: X-Man, Sunspot, Magma, Warlock, Cypher...not sure who that is on the left.
This makes me realize I have no idea who a lot of the "New generation" of mutants are.
You know while these teasers have been fun I didn't have a reaction to them until X-Factor. I love that book and agree with G-Man that it should be kept largely separate from the other X-books. Mostly I'm scared that Madrox is gone and it won't feature Ric/Star. I'm slightly panicked even, in as much as you can panic about a comic book.
Ugh this pisses me off so much I loved X-Factor being seperate and i loved it not having Havok.....i hope he is the only addition I love the team as it is, the book made me like characters like Strong Guy Madrox, and Siryn, I never liked them before, and well I love Rahne, M, and Shatterstar they were my fave members of old school x-force, x-factor, and generation-X
also.....where is my Storm at?
Yeah this does smack easily of the Blue/Gold team we had in Claremont/Lee days of the early 1990s. Still, it would be interesting to see how it goes, even if Havok on X-Factor at this point doesn't sit well with me. Just have to see how it goes!
Well the only real differences are that a) He's more violent, but so is EVERYONE in the AoA, and b) He's an athiest.
I still think it's in poor taste to essentially bring back Nightcrawler already.
Are any of the other AoA characters staying in 616?
Now we've got X-Man, Sugar Man, Dark Beast, Nightcrawler (Is he going by a different codename to differentiate himself?), and who else? Holocaust died during Exiles, and Sabertooth...wasn't he with the exiles?
And for right now, he's the only one back, but if you've been reading X-Force, Dark Beast is still around in the mainstream universe.
Maybe they're trying to keep you guessing?@xerox_kitty: They also denied the return of the Scarlet Spider. Yet the email I got from them with this image was titled "Scarlet Spider-Island?"
@spiderbat87: Yeah, and my immense rage regarding that hasn't subsided yet.November solicits make it sound like Scott will be in Uncanny #1 and the alternate cover seems to jive with that as well.
@The Mighty Monarch said:
I'm calling it now, the only two books that will "matter" are Uncanny/Wolverine and The X-Men (which I'll be avoiding like AIDS). With the X books I've come to learn to read them vertically, not horizontally. As much as I loved Carey's Legacy nothing in it "matters", in the truest sense of the term, until it was referenced in the pages of the flagship, parent Uncanny. Same could be said for any of the other spin off books like New Mutants/X-Men/Astonishing. So after Schism my X-Men intake won't change one bit. I read Uncanny now and it'll once again be the only X-Men related book I read again.Holy crap, I didn't realize there were 8 freaking X-Men series. And people say Batman has too many books.
What I can see so far:
X-Force: Psylocke, Deadpool, Fantomex, AOA Nightcrawler
Wolverine and the X-Men: Wolverine, Iceman.....
X-Men Legacy: Rogue, Gambit, Marvel Girl ......
X-Factor: Havok, Strong Guy, Syrin, Monet, Wolfsbane.....
Generation Hope: Sebastian, Hope, Transonic, Teon, Gabriel...
X-Men: Jubilee, Warpath, Domino, Storm and maybe Dazzler? Boom Boom? Husk? Armor?...
Uncanny X-Force: Emma Frost, Magneto, Colossus, Cyclops, Danger and Magik (Confirmed)
New Mutants: Nate grey, Sunspot, Warlock, Cypher, Moonstar and Magma.
I just wonder in which group Namor, Polaris, Armor, Pixie, Frenzy, Legion, Karma, Face, Dazzler, Northstar, Husk and Cannonball will be.
I like the Idea the X-men are incorporating Kurt from AOA (and possibly jean). You guys make out they will be the same character. AOA Kurt isn't religious and a whole lot more meaner from that universe, so having him running around with X-Force is perfect & how he will interact will other X-Men will be an interesting plot.
The whole concept of dividing the X-Men in two different Ideas is also perfect. There are so many of them now so what they represent is going to clash. I get the impression one side of the fence will be aggressive (wolverine and the x-men) and the other being defensive (Uncanny X-Men). I hope Cyclops does die as he's changed completely over the past decade and he is basically a young magneto with actually achieving what magneto didn't....Mutant's United
