If you are getting into Quicksliver because of the X-Men films, it's worth noting that Quicksilver in the X-Men films is more like Impulse for DC comics than he is like Quicksilver. In fact he looks a lot like the character Mercury, which was the amalgamated version of Impulse and Quicksilver in the 90s.
