I usually have an unpopular opinion when it comes to X-Men, so, with that said, I would say nothing X-Men related after 1990 is "worth reading".
Second Coming has too many silly plot elements for me. "The mutant savior", "time traveling madness" "the looming possible threat of Hope Summers".
I didn't care for all the anti-mutant villains being conflated into one super group either. They took characters who were interesting in their own right like Donald Pierce and characters that had potential to be interesting, like Bastion, and made them into The Legion of Doom. Seriously, Donald Pierce didn't like mutants, sure, but he was more of an X-Men villain because he had grudges against them, it's doubtful he would have allied himself with a parody of a right wing Christian like Stryker, it's almost like writers don't do any research and seriously throw darts to come up with stories.
The whole story was more predicated on action, had shallow interactions between characters and the villains were bland, predictable and redundant. Nothing worth reading honestly.
Oh yeah, they also ruined Bishop.
