@invain: Yeah, I generally like a team of mixed genders too, but I noticed that there are many X-Men side characters I miss that are female. Cannonball and Sunspot are Avengers, but where are the female founding members of New Mutants? Where is Polaris, the second female X-Man, and the other interesting female cast of X-Factor (other than M)?

I think it is the only way to go with Betsy. You take her full circle. She couldn't be a great Captain Brittain in the past. She wasn't ready. Now older wiser she could. And its a trend Female Thor, Female Ironman why not a Female Captain Brittain. Gives Brian time to run the Braddock Academy. Could even be a great comic. Her taking a leave of absence from the x-men and Captaining for a while. Roma or Jamie or Mad Jim Jaspers turning her back into a brit.
