why would they allow singer to ruin another x-men movie? The first class series needs to distance itself from that whole bag of crap.
X-Men
Team » X-Men appears in 13419 issues.
The X-Men are a superhero team of mutants founded by Professor Charles Xavier. They are dedicated to helping fellow mutants and sworn to protect a world that fears and hates them.
3 More X-Men Confirmed For 'Days of Future Past' Movie
@ccraft: Well that's because Xavier sent his conciousness into a comatose body. Unless he somehow made scott a telepath with great mind control abilities, I don't think so.

Are you seriously going to use the fact that comic teams typically lack diversity as a defense against movies about comics not having enough diversity? So there is blatant bigotry in comics: ok, so lets continue with that self-same bigotry in the movies. Why do anything even remotely responsible to try and change that.
There aren't many famous black x-men because they aren't created or they are not written well or given enough positive exposure or they have lame powers and names and costumes..And, yeah, that guy in X-men first class, the one who could generate tornadoes, yeah he was really famous, that's why they had him in the movie. Can't remember his name though or remember reading about him in, like, anything, but, yeah, he is a really famous character.
I guarantee you that if the situations were reversed and there were very few white superheroes and most superheroe movies had no white superheroes or one token white hero you would be upset. You may lie and say you wouldn't be but you would. You simply lack any sort of empathy for anyone else, much in the way a psychopath does.
The hulahoop dude was Alex Summers aka Havok of X-Factor. And as a black man I agree.
The original Xmen movies and Hugh aka 6'4 wolvie stink! Won't see this crap! First class got it right!
Not a fan of this for sure. I had hoped they would bring back Daniel Cudmore for the role of Colossus. But the other three I dont like in the roles they have. Anna Paquin was horrible as Rogue. She was worse than the Carrie-like interpretation of Jean Grey/Pheonix. Ellen page is ok but there's something just missing with her I would prefer Emma Watson or even Ashley Greene in that role. And if it really will be a future timeline present then an older actress could play the role as well maybe Evangeline Lilly could play the future version. Shawn Ashmore looks like he should be in some vampire flick more so than the Xmen. I know its probably hard to get this guy but Ryan Gosling I've always felt ws the better choice for Iceman.
While I am excited for a new "X" movie, I lament the decision to put Singer back in the director's chair. I feel like we started to go somewhere then its going to be the same old, same old. X2 was iffy, X-LS was terrible, wolverine was iffy, First Class was so good...now splat in the same ole sh!te. Ugh. I'll catch it on Netflix later.
@TheSwordsman: Bishop, Storm, Darwin ,Sunspot these people are some of my favourite X-men. If you bring race into comic books again I will write a formal letter asking to ban any one who applies race or who brings discrimination to the forums.
@Guardiandevil83: I'm voting for Bishop! He could tie into the Days of Future Past storyline and is certainly far more interesting than most of the other returning characters.
(And I do agree with every point you make & think that things still need to CHANGE! The problem is very much the writing!)
Very nice illustration too = thanks for sharing!

I know who Havoc was in the movie and In the comics, I was referring to the guy who could generate whirlwinds. I am glad you agree, some people just want one to accept the status quo and not require fairness and equality.

I know several bigots who have favorite sports figures and celebrities that are black, they, however, are still bigots.. Most who want people to just accept things no matter what and keep quiet about feel that way because they either don't want equality for all or because they feel guilty and don't have the courage or morals to try to change it.
So let me get this straight: you want to send a letter so that they can discriminate against people who have a right to express their opinion. perhaps you should educate yourself on the definition of discrimination unless you mean people who bring up discrimination in the forums and then, well, that is just ridiculous. Also there is only one human race: 18th century charlatans/bigots who used of all things phrenology as evidence have duped most of humanity every since that their are more than one human race. most modern day anthropologists are in agreement that there is only one race:Homosapien. Welcome to the 21st century.
I won't be responding again. In the future I would suggest that you refrain from trying to control what people type on the internet regardless of how uncomfortable what you read may makes you: It is at best a futile endeavor and you can only control yourself, however upset not being able to control others makes you it is indeed true.
Also: There are no different races only one human race but there is indeed bigotry in the comic and movie industry and in the television industry. There I have brought it up again: perhaps you should begin drafting your formal letter now.

Umm, Hugh aka 6'4 wolvie was in X-men first class....
But I agree a 6'4" Wolverine was not the best choice but he did a good job and being 6'7" I have to root for the tall brothers too. I would have preferred a compact Wolverine like the one in the Hulk vs Wolverine animated movie though.
All I honestly care about is Storm. She is my favorite X-man or X-Woman should I say and I honestly hope she is brought back done justice.

Can we switch those 3 for these 3?

No, I brought pigment and ethnicity into my conversation concerning comics. There is only one human race as most modern day anthropologist agree on.19th century chalatans have fooled many for centuries into believing that there are several races. We know now because of the human genome that this is false. Yes, they will put characters with green skin and blue skin and red skin in comics and comic movies and put the best writers and directors and artists on their projects but black people are not portrayed as often of as well. Yeah, why should I want fairness and equality? How could anyone want that? If there were as few white characters in comics and superhero movies as there are black characters then you would understand and would be highly upset. You will never admit it, but you would be. You simply choose not to empathize because 99% of characters are white.
You will never admit that you would feel the same if nearly all characters were not white so there is not point in continuing a conversation. Goodbye.
@TheSwordsman: I think that you have dealt with racism in your life and I'm sorry for that. But you can't just assume that everyone's racist! And again you show your ignorant side! I know it's pigment and ethnicity don't lecture me you self-righteous imbecile! And stop putting words in my mouth. Yes I'm white, or would you prefer if I said caucasian? There are in more white people in comics than black people I understand but if there were more black people I would not be upset . I admit that I read comics for the characters not their skin colour. I simply choose not to empathize with you because you always pull the race card. So would you like to put black characters on superhero teams for no reason or do you want to just put in characters because they are interesting? You are a fool. You brought up this argument. You brought race into the world of comics. And by the way, my grandfather was black. It makes me sick that you'd complain about racial discrimination in comic books in 2013 when it isn't even there! We are all people. I'm no different from you or anyone else. Though we share different opinions, I acknowledge you as a person, however angry, there is no reason for these hateful slurs! Characters are interesting because of their deeds and their interaction with others, it should never be about their ethnicity. Now I hope this has been insightful to your one-sided views and I hope to see your condition improve in the near future.
Yours truly
, Oscar Richardson.
I'm so confused how this movies going to work. I mean if it's going to be anything like Days of Future Past from the comics who's going to be time travelling? Kitty (Ellen Page) to the past? But which past? The past where Charles and Erik are younger? And if so what is Kitty going to try to stop? Is she going to warn them about what occurred in X3? Are we going to have a flashback of when they visit Jean and they decide not to suppress the Phoenix so she won't go cray cray like she did in X3? OR are we going to have a young Charles and Erik travel to the future for some reason to stop the tragedies that occurred in X3?
I'm just confused now. :(

I think this movie might be used to explain the differences between the original movies and First Class. Remember Xavier and Magneto were old men when they first met Jean and they were still friends. I'm thinking the time travel has already happened and in this upcoming movie they're going to try to fix it but it just ends up creating another whole new timeline.
@TheHeat: I know he's being ridiculous. I'm pretty sure he was also whining about Warmachine not being in Avengers when he's obviously going to be in Iron Man 3. I'm white and he thinks I'm a bigot for thinking race doesn't define characters.

Because that ain't iceman. That's a pretty boy who said one funny line all 3 movies.
I love how Singer is all "Thank you for not killing fucking everyone in the entire franchise you incompetent prick".
In my opinion they should use this opportunity to pay back Cyclops all the damage that was done to him on X3. But since Wolverine is in this I guess we'll have two Wolverine-centered movies soon. It sure is a good time to be a sniktbub in film.
Personally I hope they find a way to bring back Jean and Cyclops. Killing the two of them off in X3 was a huge mistake.
I would actually prefer they recast both of them though rather then bring back the old actors. They really weren't that great for the roles to begin with.

I hope they bring back Jean Grey and Cyclops too. Cyclops has been heavily mistreated in the first 3 films.
