ominous ending seems like another log in disney/marvels take on the xmen these days
I wont deny it was a great book and to see the artists and different short stories were fantastic, (the wolverine murder fantasies were unsettling because I read that original book as a kid) but otherwise, great work....UNTIL the ending...where we see a glimpse of the images projected in the mind of magneto during X-Men #25 by charles xavier, who has just put magneto in the coma. The last line references the death of xaviers dream, and it is done is such a way, that when you think about all the trouble the x-men books are in right now, and Disneys blatant and obvious attempts to stop or cancel or kill any books/characters they dont own the movie rights to, it just seemed incredibly suspect. I mean, why end an anniversary book on such a dour, depressing note? Unless your prepping for the fact that disney plans to basically crap all over, if not outright cancel, all x-men related titles, until they can make the REAL money off those characters. Honestly of all the anniversary issues, that weird, odd, cynical, depressing ending ruined the whole book.
