X-Men First Class Official Trailer
THAT WAS AWSOME!!! Looks BETTER than the origional trilogy. God, I've been waiting for this for a while. This looks amazing.
"How can this be cannon? It collides wih X-men origins on 2 things that i can think off "
What's the second thing? I can only think of one.
Plus, is it me or does Xavier have an english accent?
OK! Maybe I am Just a full blown X-nerd! but that looks like it is going to be a Bad ass movie! Emma looks amazing!
Still going to see it. I'm just going to regard it as the same circumstances as the story in the 2009 Star Trek movie.
I'm not sure if it looks good or not, yet. Random shots of characters doesn't really show anything to me. And Havok's blast was the wrong color (unless they mean to imply that is their father).
I'm reminded of how good X-Men the Last Stand, and Spiderman 3 looked when I first saw their trailers.
LOVE IT.
Mystique looks sooo damn hot. I'm pretty pleased with Emma and the special effects for Angel look awesome, Zoe Kravitz is so beautiful.
Michael Fassbender, great as always.
" Am I the only one who thought that Emma's diamond form looked as though she became human hair gel? "It looked as bad as it did in Wolverine's movie. I hoped they would have left her diamond form out or at least made it look better.
doesnt this mess up the time line of the x-men? bring back future character to a time line when they didnt exist.
I can't believe I actually want to see this. At first I didn't, and I really gave it no attention. The talk and images about it before were things I passed by without giving any notice to as much as I could help it. I had no clue what it was about or who was in it, I just thought it would be dumb. The X-Men movies were ok, but not amazing and only got worse, and I hated Wolverine almost entirely, I had very little interest in any of this. But this trailer actually looks good. Trailers have tricked me before, so I don't think that means the movie will be good, but it's better than what I expected. If it's really a story about Charles and Erik where their characters are the focus and how their characters and ideals interact, I think it could be worth watching.
Well the trailer has surpassed all my expectations, but I guess that's the direction and acting and cinematography over the story line and accuracy slaughter. I would've been so much happier had they just done the original five x-men than replace them with a mish mash of wrongly aged characters from the x-men lore. And WHY given her current major character status do they insist on making Emma Frost older?? GAH.
Looks annoyingly well made otherwise though. Damn.
O_O actually not hating the movie based on the trailer, but still don't have high hopes but will probably be better than wolverines movie, will probably see whether i want to or not because it part of the series n i have OCD so i have to watch every sequel
I wasn't too impressed with the trailer. I still think it's going to suck no matter what. They're not going with what the original "First Class" were. It's far to random to even work as a movie.
Oh well. There will be some people out there that like it, I just don't think I'll be one of them.
wow...i just watched an almost 2 minute trailer of an x-men film and hugh jackman was not in it...wow...just...wow...This movie is gonna rock!!!!!!
The trailer looks better than I had anticipated but lest we forget that a good trailer does not necessarily translate into a good movie. But we shall see how this turns out
@howlettgrowl: Heh, exactly what I was thinking... The X-men movies to this point have basically all been "Wolverine and the gang", and now we have our first X-movie where Wolverine plays no part at all, and Magneto is totally badass.
As someone who kinda-sorta-liked The Last Stand, I have a feeling I'll enjoy this movie regardless of how good it actually is. If the action scenes are epic and the acting is good, I don't care about the plot :P
" This film has no right whatsoever to be good, so for the trailer to look that impressive, I'm amazed. "i couldn't have said it better myself
I feel weird calling this an X-Men movie for some reason. It's like Fox just chose a bunch of mutants they thought were cool and threw them in a big pot and poured out this. It doesn't look bad, but keep in mind this trailer was fairly vague on the exact story of the characters beyond that fact that "Before they were such and such they were such and such".
I honestly don't think I'm going to jump in my car and see this the instant it hits theatres, but like all the X-Men movies (and that one about Wolverine...you know the one ;P) it will be a good movie in that it has a decent script, fairly well done effects and little comic plugs for us nerds to enjoy here and there.
However, it is most definitely not going to be a movie in favour of the source material (since their First Class is way different from ours). It'll make some money, people will be able to come up with jokes that will only be relevant if you've seen the film, and the actors will burn their dashing costumes before heading off to the bank.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine's Emma looked as if though she was covered in diamonds (rather than becoming a diamond). The light bounces off of her as if 10,000 engagement rings were put together:
This one looks more like they tried to go the correct direction of creating her body of diamond rather than covering her in diamond. Except the reflective effect done on her makes it look like human hair gel:
DUDE! Kennedy? oh and even more DUUUUDE! PIXIE????? or wasp, or whoever that was? Reading G-Man's previous article WAITING for the trailer, he said there are NEW characters here with a young professor and young Magneto. MAYBE i thought,...they do flashbacks? but how MANY flashbacks? cos FIRST CLASS means the ORIGIN, so if it were a flashback then you'd have the WHOLE FILM in a flashback? Maybe it's the current generation LEARNING about their story, maybe someone's TELLING the story (Titanic,...OR present and past ocuring simultaneously in the film. Btw i never watched Titanic so i dont know if Granny Rose appears throughout or just at the beginning and end) Either way,... Emma Frost, thumbs down. She cant just REPLACE Marvel Girl
" Charles Xavier lost his hair in high school, Beast didn't get hairy until 1972, and Magneto was a villain since the X-Men existed in 1963. I hate that everything gets rewritten and everything I grew up with is now false because they need to sell new books and revise history. "nothing is being rewritten...this is a movie and has no bearing on the X-men comics
" actually looks really good, and its from marvel? I'm shocked! "it only says Marvel at the beginning...Fox made the movie not Marvel Studios
I'm a little underwhelmed. I was hoping with this new cast and alleged new direction it would look different but so far it's kind of more of the same. I could be wrong though since this is trying to play to the folks at home who are only familiar with the X-Men by what they've seen in the previous movies. Hoping for the best!
" @iLLituracy said:Looks the same to me...except the diamonds are bigger. Still looks pretty bad, IMO." @sora_thekey said:That's not entirely true." Like I said, I would have preferred they leave the diamond form out of the film altogether. It wasn't something classic Emma Frost had.
