Warpath has a shadowy (and romantic) encounter with a mutant who seems like trouble. Boom-Boom gets a daring new look, and Siryn can’t quite get Deadpool out of her head. What’s going on there?!

It has been an odd night. Sunspot continues to delve into Askani culture. Cable is stuck trying to convince Bishop that Boomer didn't release Sabretooth. Siryn has a nightmare about a captured Deadpool. Warpath is called to the middle of nowhere for a stranger named Risque to kiss him and then leave. The most fantastic, however, is Boomer's transformation into Meltdown. New hair and a new attitude promises to make things interesting for X-Force.

    Synopsis

Things are tense in the Danger Room. Bishop continues looking over the debris as is determined that Boomer's actions helped Sabretooth escape, which ultimately led to Psylocke getting gutted. Cable says he believes Boomer's story - which is that Sabretooth escaped first before Boomer tried blowing him up. Things get heated and Storm has to step in to separate the two.

Cable stomps off in a foul mood and finds Beast doing a more in-depth medical exam on Shatterstar than desired. Cable reminds Beast that they are only trying to determine if there are any lingering effects from the team being under Sebastian Shaw's control; Beast, however, is convinced that Shatterstar's backstory is far different from what they have been told.

Gambit sits atop the Xavier Institute musing about life. He hears Siryn scream in her sleep (which blasts a hole in the side of the building) and rushes to see if she is alright. She says she is, but she can't seem to shake this dream of being imprisoned with Deadpool somehow being involved.

Outside New York City, Warpath continues to test the limits of his powers by going for a very, very fast run. Cops clock him at 93 miles per hour. He arrives at a field of junk, which he learned about from a mysterious communication. He is confused, as he was hoping Siryn has sent the message. Instead, a car is thrown on him. He tosses it easily to the side and finds an enigmatic young woman named Risque. She deftly approaches him, kisses him, then leaves.

In Boomer's room, Boomer burns keepsakes and begins cutting her hair. Cannonball tries to get in but she blows him off. Cable finally arrives and the door opens to reveal Boomer with a very short haircut and a new attitude - also a new name: Meltdown.
