Reading through the Perez run of WW from the 1980s and issue 8 describes her meeting the JL during a fight a G. Gordon Godfrey.

Did that actually happen in an issue somewhere because it's only summarized in WW #8?

I looked through JL and JL International during the 1980s but I don't see anything that looks like it has that story.
