The Amazon princess, blessed with god-like super abilities, Wonder Woman is one of Earth's most powerful defenders of peace, justice, and equality and a member of the Justice League. ok after watching some jlu episodes i think i have an idea for a different type of wonder woman movie. what if was rated R?

complaints about wonder woman being to feminine for the theaters is the main reason progression is slowed. i agree a hot chick running around in a bikini bottom and a corset is a bit too men friendly. the rating could make up for that she could be a warrior a real one, like leonitist in the 300 movie. when she beats someone down it could be graphic she could use a sword and a shield to chop and mush through tons of enemies. no women would say it was too girly. we would finally have a great awesome super heroine

the plot could be epic too. it would begin with a flashback to the day she arrived on earth and how the world was effected blah blah blah. wonder woman works close to the government to prove her loyalty to america (explaining her costume) but many dont like her existence on our planet and she could take on a whole group of super villains. i was thinking black manta could be one of them and provide a aqua man cameo plus an underwater wonder woman scene would be awesome. it could be like the trials of Hercules giving it a 300 kind of feel.

a mad employee from organization like lex corp or cadmus decides to let loose some of there projects and take control of their drones and concoct some kind of ultimate plan to test wonder women. he takes control of a big city or something like that and puts the nation on a standstill like "if anyone tries to help wonder woman i blow the place now lets see how your so called hero last against my wrath" kind of thing. taking each villain down one by one saving people along the way. the point of it all is to test her power and her loyalty to america, by doing this she would really be testing her stand alone abilities before a justice league movie.

basically like all of angelina jolie's movies, hot girls, possible partial nudity, awesome female action, and a kick ass heroine. kinda along the lines of the new 300 sequel meets the avengers but with more villains. the R rating is just to show blood, use language, and be graphic it, doesnt have to be all dark.

what do you all think? i dent see why they are having so many problems with bringing her to the big screen, i came up with this in like 3 minutes.

On a strictly business standpoint the amount of money an R rated movie could make compared to how much a PG or PG13 movie could make, wouldn't justify it to any studio to spend the kind of money superhero movies generally cost. A PG13 movie could be plenty violent enough for a Wonder Woman movie. It doesn't need to have nudity or extreme violence.

A R rated Wonder Woman movie could be a good idea, but I'm just so wary with all of the blood and gore. Nudity would be great and Dr. Psycho as the main villain would be the best idea, although other Wonder Woman villains such as Cheetah and Giganta making appearances would be a good idea. So, with Dr. Psycho as the main villain, the R rating could be for nudity and language, more than blood and gore.

This could work if well executed and sensible instead of simply gratuitous. In fact, given her new origins, a Wonder Woman title under the Vertigo banner (just hear me out) could be pretty cool. The Ancient Greeks were into all kinds of sh*t. You name it, they did it; polyandry, polygamy, poly freaking amory, incest, bestiality, endemic warfare, hacking at your enemies, cleaving them in half and the very interesting festival Dionysia (oh things happened there). It would be a sexy comic, bloody and hopefully mature and intelligent. But never gonna happen under current administration. Maybe not ever.... but I like the idea. R Rated heroic nudity and all that but she can't wear a swimsuit in. Obviously. It would just be ridiculous. Greeks wrestled and ran naked but they still had hoplite armour when needed, you know, for FIGHTS and FLYING and things like that

I know this is a very ironic statement coming from someone who hates the fact that she doesn't wear pants. This is my problem; why does Superman (with invulnerable skin) get armour and not her? Now if he ran around in speedos (ONLY speedos) I couldn't and wouldn't complain because the thought of Henry Cavill like that is appealing but he's not naked so she shouldn't be either. If it were a culture thing like I've stated above that would be a different case but no logical explanation is given for why her mother has the coolest looking leather armour I've seen and her getup screams "JINGO!" swimsuit model. Her people strike me as the nationalistic type. Why would she EVER wear another country's flag? That's one of the many things I'd like to see addressed in the film.... if ever...(*sigh*)

You actually think, with as much trouble as it's taking making a WW movie at all, that they would give it box office poison and make it rated R? What the hell for? So she can say "fuck" and bare her tits who she screws Steve? Dear God........

That would cost Warner Bros. tons of money, most of the audiences for these superhero flicks are young children. Parents will be hesitant on taking their kids to see naked Amazons on an island.

Yeah, making the first DCU movie to feature a woman (I'm ignoring Catwoman for obvious reasons) all about sex and nudity would be a horrible and offensive idea. The best way to make it a financial success would be to make sure that Wonder Woman isn't objectified - maybe make her outfit less revealing. That way, it might appeal to (gasp) a female audience who could finally see themselves represented as something other than the love interest.

Maybe as a tv show,im thinking something along the lines of game of thrones. But as a movie no higher the PG 13. Think about the money marvel would of lost if Thor was rated r.

I can't tell if you are bragging because you came up with it in 3 mins or not lol.

Anyways it would be way harder then it seems obviously.

I found her wearing the American flag's colors stupid as well originally. But in the animated film they addressed this, They dressed her as the nation she was visiting colors as a sign of respect, since she was representing her own nation, and it was a mission of peace and unity. That was the first time I heard that, and I accepted it.

Greeks are not ashamed of nudity and nudity doesn't make anyone a porn star or a lower individual, but yeah I'd want 14-15 years to watch a WW movie so no nudity.

@rustyroy: Only problem we are not the same society that they were. Wonder woman is write for our society. None of her stories ever need her to be nude . Even from a story point who tell you that those Greeks are the same as ours, maybe in that universe they get offended if someone is nude .That is way we dont have nude woder woman stories. Nudity doesnt make anyone a lower individual but wanting nudity just because she is a woman, I think that is low because she never depend on that in his source material. Why he doesnt want movies with Batman and Superman nude? It makes the same sense. Why they dont do it because in any of their stories they ever needed that?

Exactly, there is no reason for it other than for men to gawk at a naked woman, and that is contradictory to her character, and to make the first DC female super hero film to also be the first to feature nudity would be offensive. That's not to say that nudity is inherently offensive, but in this context it would be. If they established a strong Wonder Woman franchise and then introduce nudity in a character that made sense (Catwoman or Poison Ivy maybe), that could work, though I still don't think it would be necessary or advisable.

I'm just saying she comes from a different society and she's a confident and brave woman so she doesn't have to follow our society's rule, they don't have to show it in the movie though, and she's not like Batman and Superman, they were raised in our society although I wouldn't have any problem with nudity in a R-rated Batman movie. WW comics have showed almost nudity and I don't think Cheetah wears any clothes. And Its not like if they show nudity on a WW movie then it wouldn't make any sense or will be bad, I'm not saying WW should be be nude, that would be out of character but there can be other character's like victims or any medieval people like Hercules who can be shown with revealing clothes because they are actually depicted like that. I'd prefer a WW movie with no nudity in it, and Greek armor instead of her regular costume. Btw i agree his comment was weird.

You now that they arent the same universe that we are, in her universe every time you see them with clothes (for example Hercules in her universe). Well why batman has no nudity clayface never wears clothes. Also cheetah has clothes, her fur. Yeah i also prefer WW movie with no nudity but I have no problem with her normal suit if she is going to be in the same universe that man of steel.

Never ever happen. The higher the rating means the less people that are able to see it. And there's, you know, the fact that nothing in any Wonder Woman book was R rated. I don't even think she's ever been given a Mature Readers label.
