@frozen: My problem, to say my biggest problem, with the GA and the SA of comics is that there is was no consistency back then. Today, while not perfect, there are some universally agreed levels characters like Diana and Clark inhabit and similarly they try to make their foes appear as credible threats to them.

Back then, you had your star-pulling Wonder Woman imperiled (quite often) by very bitter and slightly crazy women with next to no powers at all, and never anything that could match Diana's. While star-sneezer Superman was being bothered by crazy scientist Lex, who wasn't even half as smart and ruthless as he is now.

PowerWoman is very fond of calling stuff PIS whenever her/his perception of Kryptonian-superiority or WW-inferiorty is challenged. Had he/she been alive back then with a msg board, half of everything being published for 50 years would have been called PIS, CIS by him/her. But then he/she would have the good fortune of being around to watch PG's rack grow to the size we have today.

@outside_85: The SA Wonder Woman was the weak version. The GA Wonder Woman did show that star-moving strength, but when she began she was not very strong. There were alot of plot devices back then which posed a threat to the characters in stories; but it was toned down when the Bronze Age began.

Still, you only have to watch a Christopher Reeve Superman film to see which version of Superman it was based on.

A few characters were weaker then. Power Girl to my knowledge, was not very powerful in the pre-crisis stories. She was much weaker than her cousin Kal L (the GA Superman) and it was re-enforced in Infinite Crisis when he had to save her.

Sadly Wonder Woman hasn't being giving her chance to shine. She is the strongest of Dc women but it doesn't matter. Unwritten rules, Superman can't be beaten by his own teams and Batman has to be prepared for everything

Wonder Woman pulling The Sun is still a strength feat. If we take your logic then Superman pulling 1/3 of The Earth doesn't count. A Star has the mass of 330,000 Earths, to pull one may be pulling the weight but still requires the strength. But I will go ahead and use your logic.

Firstly, Wonder Woman does have a planet feat aside from pulling a Star.

Secondly, she was equal in strength to the GA Superman.

And GA Superman is on SA Superman's level. You only have to read a GA Superman comic to know this, he fought SA Superman and stalemated him. That is legitimate, in fact a Bronze Age comic in the late 1970s shows them to be equals.
