    Wonder Woman

Character » Wonder Woman appears in 8808 issues.

The Amazon princess, blessed with god-like super abilities, Wonder Woman is one of Earth's most powerful defenders of peace, justice, and equality and a member of the Justice League. She is considered an archetype for many heroines outside of comic book. Her initial origin depicted her as a clay baby brought to life by patron goddess Aphrodite, but in recent years she has been depicted as the daughter of Zeus and Amazon queen Hippolyta.

How would you redue her weapons?

Since alot has changed in the new 52 her weapons have not gotten a full explaination ,how would you interpret them?

All we got is this " she wears the bracelets to keep the powers she has inherited from Zeus in check.

pre new 52 this is how they are explained .

The Lasso of Truth, explained by its name, forces people to tell the truth, by the Fires of Hestia and was forged by the Golden Girdle of Gaea. It is able to restore people's lost memories, get rid of illusions, heal the holder's body (in this case, Wonder Woman), cure insanity, and people who are in its circumference will be protected from magical attacks. It is unbreakable, being able to hold anybody, even someone with the strength equivalent to Superman. The lasso also seems to be able to increase in length to an unknown degree, depending on the situation. Throughout the years, different artist have depicted the lasso as a simple piece of rope to a fiery, glowing rope which emphasizes the amount of power the lasso can unleash. the lasso also has the quality that any device caught in it maintains its structural integrity despite the pressure of having a a piece of rope wrapped around something. In this way Wonder Woman has been able to hold a submarine, a skyscraper and even the planet Earth in her grasp without those objects breaking. There are only three ways to escape from the lasso, either the bearer releases it, the captured individual dies, or a god or other divine entity releases it. In line with the first method is it possible still to attack the person holding the lasso and force them to release it in this way.

There is a fair amount of precedent that any statement made in the presence of the lasso is inadmissable in court as it is brought forth by coersion. Jonah, for example, uses this tactic in ww220

In the golden age the lasso was often used in less realistic ways - as a whip to create pressurized air to stop people from falling, as a part of intricate pulley systems, and woven together to form a shield. Also golden age Wonder Woman if bound by the lasso was forced to do as the person who bound her ordered.

Her bulletproof bracelets were formed from the remnants of Athena's legendary shield, the Aegis, to be awarded to her champion. The shield was made from the indestructible hide of the great she-goat, Amalthea, who suckled Zeus as an infant. These forearm guards have thus far proven indestructible and able to absorb the impact of incoming attacks, allowing Wonder Woman to deflect automatic weapon fire and energy blasts. Diana can also slam the bracelets together to create a wave of concussive force capable of making Superman's ears bleed. Recently, she gained the ability to channel Zeus's lightning through her bracelets as well. Zeus explained to her that this power had been contained within the bracelets since their creation, because they were once part of the Aegis, and that he had only recently unlocked it for her use.

    • The bracelets over the years have been said to be made out of different materials such as Silver, Amazonian alloy and Feminum.

Wonder Womans golden tiara ,. A red, decorative star is emblazoned upon the front representing Wonder Woman's dedication towards freedom and patriotism. The tiara can also be used as a throwing weapon, similar to that of a boomerang. The Silver Age Wonder Woman frequently used it to knock out adversaries, or to trip up evading foes. With her level of super-human strength it is capable of cutting very durable substances, a prime example being when she cut Superman's throat to temporarily disable him.

I wouldn't really question her armory. I'd treat it as a matter of course that she has weapons forged by the various Greek gods (Hephaestus especially, who trades such weapons to the Amazons for male slaves), including not only WW classics like her lasso, bracelets, tiara, and armor, but swords, shields, spears, etc. I don't think you necessarily need more explanation than that for most of these. They are simply super-effective.
