    1. World Below The Northpole: (Wonder Woman) Steve Trevor is shot down over the north pole while scouting a location for a radar station. Wonder Woman is sent on a secret mission to bring equipment to that station so she searches for him and is fired on by the same "mole men" who shot Steve down. the people who lived below the north pole shot at them because planes from the very enemy the radar station was meant to guard against (called Warlandia) had been doing practice bombing runs over their city without knowing it was there.

    Wonder Woman #47 - The World Below the North Pole by razzatazz on June 21, 2011

    In terms of publication respectability this issue takes a step backwards.  It is still what would be considered a golden age comic but by this point in the series the golden age was progressing somewhat to at least less realistic stories.  In the first story here Wonder Woman must help a group of people that live under the North Pole battle a group of invaders from Warlandia.  In the second story Wonder Woman travels back in time to discover how a picture of her got on a totem pole and in the th...
