The film is inspired by Chris Claremont and Frank Miller's runs on Wolverine, in which Wolverine heads to Japan, falls in love with a lovely lady, and gets into a beef with a Japanese criminal. No news yet on how long they plan on shooting, or how much of this upcoming film will be shot in Japan, but one question that did pop up, will this film be in 3D?"At least part of it [will be filmed in Japan]," he told MTV News. "You know how these things work. We may not be able to do all of it in Japan, but definitely a lot of it."
I sincerely hope not. 3D is not necessary for this film. Let's just focus on the story and not things popping out at the audience... Please?Jackman simply responded, "Don't know — but that's a good question."
As for shooting in Japan, I think it's a necessary element for the film. I'm hoping to see some beautiful Japanese landscape. Maybe some Mt Fuji action in the background. Hopefully, we'll get some cool fight scenes in Tokyo. The action is what's going to make or break this film. There is a great story already there, but if the action is too over-the-top or unrealistic, a lot of people (including myself) will not be too happy.
With the shooting starting in January, what do you hope to see come out of this film? What aspects of Japan should be in the film?
