Taxing the healing factor beyond what it can handle is the only way I can think of besides complete annihilation.

There are ways to destroy adamantium. Besides, if his head is cut off and destroyed, he will just grow a new one on his body.

You can alter the adamantium in his skeleton to allotrope #9, overloading his healing factor and leading to his death.

How can you rip out a brain that is encased in an Adamantium skull?  Can Logan regenerate brains? "

Incineration would do it, just leave his adamantium skeleton.

 Wolverine has already survived decapitation (off panel), in 616 cannon. So... I guess the answer to your question is no, since cutting his head off has already proven ineffective.
 
Wolverine has bone marrow protected safely inside his adamantium skeleton, so even when incinerated down to the Adamantium skeleton he still has some building blocks to work from.

they have plenty of ways to shut down powers so find yourself a restraint collar or magic user or what ever you choose as your manner of power disruption toss him in some lava or whatever and be done with it

i Thought they could kill him by cutting off his head. Also i didnt think he regrew anything. I thought that he would have to place the severed part of his body back in the right place so they could grow back together but he couldnt grow new limbs. Also the muramasa blade or whatever sword that was that negates the healing factor in people.

He's survived being hit with a nuclear bomb twice, and several other comparable things as well, like Nitro and Sunspot. 
 
When Wolverine was fighting Tiger Shark and got stuck underwater, he said that his healing factor will keep him alive in a state of perpetual drowning.  It won't be pleasant, but he'll still be alive... although he might wish he wasn't. 
 
He's also fallen into a vat of molten metal and climbed out, so the volcano thing might be out as well.
