We’ve seen Spider-Man versus the Punisher. Luke Cage & Iron Fist versus Elektra. Ghost Rider versus Moon Knight. We can add a Wolverine versus Daredevil battle, today, since Marvel’s release another promo for SHADOWLAND: BATTLE FOR THE SOUL OF NEW YORK. While I’ve asked you maniacs who you thought would win each of these first three battles, I don’t think much doubt has been left over who wins this bout. That is, unless Logan was able to fork DD’s bloody cowl off WITHOUT inflicting significant lacerations to Mr. Murdock’s cranium. Then again, maybe it just fell off earlier and Wolverine’s picking it up to hand back to him, like the courteous Canadian gentleman he is.
There’s another promo image for Elektra’s second match in this fray, this time against Spidey’s favorite chalk-skinned heavy, Tombstone…
Oh, wait… it's an actual tombstone, and Elektra’s not fighting it, she’s embracing it tenderly! And what’s that? Suffering succotash, Daredevil’s name is on the grave’s face, along with a bloody Hand print! Juxtapose these two images together and you might have to conclude that Wolverine’s the one who put ol’ Hornhead down into the ol’ “pine jacket.” Or, if you switch their order, perhaps he’s seeking to avenge Daredevil against those that murdered him and he’s waving his mask in their face to remind them of whom they’ve done wrong to!
Oh… these promos tease me so! Therefore, I must step aside now, and let you, the maniacs in the Comic Vine community, figure out what SHADOWLAND will entail. Do you figure Wolverine’s going to give Daredevil the hard goodbye?
