    Struck by the same lightning bolt that turned his uncle Barry Allen into the Flash, Wallace Rudolph "Wally" West took the name Kid Flash, became Barry's sidekick, and joined the Teen Titans. Eventually, Wally became the Flash to honor his uncle's memory, who died saving the Universe. He also became a member of the Justice League. He married a woman named Linda Park and had two kids, Jai and Iris West II. Currently, Wally is active as the Flash.

    I'm looking to get into The Flash but the only problem is that I have no clue where to begin. Is the new 52 stuff any good for new readers or is there a better place to start?

    I'd say The Flash's New 52 series is pretty good for new readers. All you really need is a basic understanding, if even that.

    Depends on which Flash. If you want Barry, read the New 52. If you want Wally, read Geoff John's run (its collected in several omnibuses).

    Since this is in the Wally West board, do you want recommenditions of him? If so, The New 52 wouldn't be a good place to start with it.
