Question (Sage)
Character » Question (Sage) appears in 418 issues.
When Vic Sage, a television investigative journalist, encountered stories he couldn't investigate by normal, legal means, he donned a special mask (kept in his belt buckle) that made it appear that he had no face. As the Question, Sage investigated corruption in the face of all danger, leaving a blank "calling card," which, when touched, emitted a smoky question mark.
Question Respect Thread
Sling Shot says:
"The Question is who they Moore based Rorshcac off of. Alan Moore noticed his greatness as do I. Question is the dude. And JLU did a great portrayal of him, as they did for everyone. Yeah the Question could be the answer to a new series, or DC movie."
that he could
And the guy who did his voice on JLU (the re-animator guy something Combs) made it oh so freaking awesome

I have to bring this thread up as The Question is undoubtedly just great and way underrated!!!
He shone in 52 with an absolutly incredable death, normal and human just like the Questuion yet extraordinary enough to keep me gripped!
Rennees journey has been amazing! She shone at the end of 52 and wears the Hat with pride and rightly so!
One thing i wasnt keen on was the five boks of blood...an interesting idea really good infact just poorly executed could have been doneover 20 issues not five!
then Final Crisis and Revelations absolutley loved it. Crypus allen dragged back from her past to haunt her the severe power imbalance in the pair human and Divine entity with near unlimited potential, the same with Cain a being of almost unfathomble evil!!!!
she took the spear to the chest like a true hero!
then in Final Crisis although slightly confusing!!!! she mans the arc for the supermen of the universe....I love the question Greg ruckas been writing her for since, well since her birth in 52 and in my opinion has managed to give the character a new position in the DCU and neally all around just kicked ass in his writing of the character...witty banter and all!!!!!!
Am I the only one that thinks Vic may not be dead? I mean he "died" in Nanda Parbat
(Points to anyone who gets what I'm implying)
"Nighthunter said:"it is believed that you can't die in Nanda Parbat because of the goddess protecting the placenice.....I never got why he was called Vic but people called him Charlie??????????
"

His name is Charlie Victor Sage or vic sage to the T.V. crowd.

"i know its a dumb Question, but why in some comics does Vic have blonde hair and in some he has black hair?"Depending if he's The Question or not it is the adhesive gas that changes his clothes and fixes the mask, it also changes his hair colour.
My favorite story with him is the three issue/annual crossover with the Batman and Green Arrow back in th eearly nighties. He felt overshadowed by Batman and told him so.
which one would you like, half the issue was on the bus.
As for the hair colour, that would probably be given to artistic licence, lol

Anyone else excited???????????????
I'm really upset that my local shop doesn't have The Question volume 1 of O'neil's run. They have volumes 2, 3, and 4 in the trades, but but no volume 1. Frustrating...
I'm just gonna have to Amazon it I guess...although I would vastly prefer to get it from one of my local shops.
The Ditko Vic Sage Question is a great character, less so for the O'Neill interpretation. The less said about the Renee Montoya Question, the better (Rucka sure loves his lesbians!).
I don't know if Ditko ever talked about this or not, but I always thought that since Ditko (and Vic Sage) were Objectivists, 'The Question' name was an oblique reference to 'The Question' asked throughout Atlas Shrugged: "Who is John Galt?"
One of the Best,Coolest and Greatest Characters to ever Live he's like an Amalgam of Batman and The Riddler Pure AWESOME!!!!!
Question's is sick. He's considered The Best Detective right behind Batman. He was also trained by Bronze Tiger another one of the best fighters in the DCU and Vic himself is quite skilled in H2h himself. He could probably beat Green Arrow IMO. I wish he had his own Rebrith series.
