Uncanny Ending
THE GOOD
All. Of. It.
The art is great. The writing is perfect.
While I was sad to see it end, I was very satisfied with how it did. It starts out strong with Deathlok reasoning his way out from under War's spell, continues with some epic battles between good and evil, and ends quietly with a solemn yet powerful question, "Who are you?".
One thing I thought was simply amazing: the SCALE of where they were all fighting. That hall with the GIANT statues really helped illustrate the gravity of the situation. That whole scene made me feel small - very effective!
There are deaths, massive wounds, and even greater scars. Scars that will last, long beyond this arc.
The only question now is, "Where do they go from here?"...
THE BAD
The only thing I thought was weird was the "projected future" vision shared by Angel and Psylocke. It wasn't bad - actually it felt full of truth, just weird.
THE VERDICT
Highly Recommended. If you have been under a rock (much like the one I just crawled out from) and you have not read this series, do it. Now. Obviously, don't read this issue first, but once you get here. I KNOW you will enjoy it. It has all the action, violence, and redemption anyone could want. This series has been simply amazing. Uncanny even. :)
