A Must Read Book
Thank god for Nick Spencer. This new run of Ultimate X-Men is the best there has been since before Robert Kirkman did his run on the first volume of Ultimate X-Men.
This book is a great read. It satisfies with every issue, but always leave you wanting more. It is the best of the mate titles in my opinion. The development of Kitty as the leader of the X-men is a great plot line. She has watched as all of her friends were killed in Ultimatum, and is still dealing with the death of her first love, Peter Parker. Johnny Storm brings an interesting dynamic, and is a great comic buddy to Bobby Drake. Rogue is clearly adding up to become more interesting down the road, as she is clearly all messed up. Of course, let's also not forget Jimmy Hudson. We basically get to see what Wolverine was like when he was first becoming Wolverine.
In short this is a must read. Especially if you are disenfranchised with the whole Regenisis thing over in the main Marvel Universe. There are so many characters in the main Marvel Universe, that it is a full time job to keep track of what is going on. Here, you can see how a new team of X-Men develop and deal with serious hate against mutants. Plus, the idea of all characters in Ultimate Marvel stay dead, begs the question, who is this God guy any way?
