Tim Drake
Character » Tim Drake appears in 3333 issues.
At the age of nine, Timothy Drake cleverly deduced the identities of Batman and Robin. Four years later, after the death of Jason Todd, Tim convinced Batman that he should be the new Robin. He would later become leader of Young Justice.
whos is smarter tim drake or dick grayson?
if i had to chose I'd pick tim but it's not like there is a HUGE gap in intelligence, but more a difference in how they use said intelligence
i would say Tim is slightly smarter and Dick is the better athlete. Thou in terms of brains its very close.
Different kinds of intelligences.
To paraphrase something Einstein said "Can you judge a fish by it's ability to climb?" This is just to illustrate that different situations call for different skills.
Dick is far more tactically intelligent, linguistically intelligent, kinesthetically intelligent, socially intelligent, and experientially intelligent.
Tim is more scientifically intelligent, deductively intelligent, analytically intelligent, logical-mathematically intelligent.
In terms of pure brainpower, the win belongs to Drake, but Grayson dominates in terms of creative thinking and improvisation.
It's like Grayson is Steve Rogers, while Drake is Amadeus Cho.
Actually, that sounds stupid, but it's a start.
Different kinds of intelligences.Agreed.

Dick is more tactical and Tim is more sciencey.
Like Scott and Spidey. O_o that may be a bad analogy.
Oh my God, let that go! Yes, Drake's a prodigous talent, but can we cease using the ol' "Tim is the next Batman because he deduced the identity of the Dark Knight" mantra? It's so tiresome. Although I will say it is a little ironic that Bruce and Dick trained Tim to be better detective than either of them.
Yes, Dick is more of a tactician, while Tim is scientifically smarter.
" @saiyan_earthling: (sigh) I get into too many fights on this site. "Shit happens lol. I get this all the time =)
"Tim. He was gifted enough to figure out that Batman was Bruce Wayne. "
So did Vicki Vale.......

We could all sit here and think we know the answer but the truth is its all up the the writers lol :D

I dunno personally it would have to depend on your definition of smart. I like Richard, and Tim, hell I even like Jason Todd. I think no matter how you look at it, its an impossible question to answer. Smart as in street smart, book smart, general knowledge etc...
(My Personal Opinion)
Richard Grayson: He`s got the Street smarts and a lot of general knowledge. Good at leading and years of experience over Tim. Amazing at solving thing.
Tim Drake/Wayne: Book smart, good with computers and also general knowledge. Good at leading etc...
I saw a TV show 1 vs 100 (Basic premise of the show is to see if you better then these 100 people) on the show they had a man who was like an American Physicist and apparently had the highest IQ in all of North America (so basically one of the smartest people in the world.) He did not win. He is smart maybe even super smart but everything depends on the circumstance your in. He did not have much knowledge in pop culture and lost. It doesn`t make him any less smarter....
To bring my point to a close..... The answer is Richard and Tim. are both smart. It would have to totally depend on what the situation.
(Sorry if I sound like a totally DORK lol)

PS: The only one that sucks is Damian Wayne (If you can`t tell I hate that snot kid)

Funny you should say that, because, genetically speaking, Damian is the most intelligent of Bruce's sons.
It is hard to say.
In the "modern" comics, Intelligence and Detective Skills are usually attributed to Tim.
But in the older comics (from the 60s, 70s and 80s) especially in the Teen Titans series, Dick was also praised for his intelligence and his detective skills and for example shown to read books while his team mates read comics.
And in the Young Justice TV series, he completely over shadows Tim and Barbara in Terms of intelligence (but this is mostly because Tim and Barbara barly got any screen time).
This is a tricky one because Tim is defiantly smarter but he doesn't think as fast as Dick nor is he as resourceful.
This is tricky because Tim is certainly the smartest of the two, but Dick uses his dick more often and could therefore be more intelligently living his life.

Using multiple intelligence, I love it!
@velle37: That's a wonderful and beautiful way too look at it, I agree completely.
Its not even close. Dick acknowledges this when they work together, several times in fact.
Tim is one of the greatest tacticians of his time, a wizard with a computer, with a natural talent for profiling, has photographic memory and can instantly memorize complex patterns. He took down the entire league of assasins and outsmarted Ras al Ghul. Among other equally impressive feats.
He isnt as good as physically speaking until he takes on the council of spiders. Its in that fight that all his training finally bears fruit.
Still, Dick is unmatched when it comes to agility, dude literally does whatever he wants in the air.
