Seriously What were they thinking? Its a horrible name for his character. Hes still a Robin. Now he will forever be viewed as an robin with a red costume....
Tim Drake
Character » Tim Drake appears in 3333 issues.
At the age of nine, Timothy Drake cleverly deduced the identities of Batman and Robin. Four years later, after the death of Jason Todd, Tim convinced Batman that he should be the new Robin. He would later become leader of Young Justice.
Red Robin.....

agreed. i would have named him Renegade after Damian became Robin. It would reference both Dick Grayson's time with the mantle and would actually make sense in context with Tim's direction at the time

I think the new costume is pretty awesome.
not relevant, but i agree with you.
To be honest tim was always my favorite robin and him being red robin wont change that. He'll still be a good detective.

100% agreement over here. See my blog post, "I Hate The Name Red Robin," for elaboration.
Red Robin is a massive nod to the kingdom come comics, where Dick Grayson took the mantle and one that Todd had worn as well. For Tim to take the mantle and bring it into cannon was pretty cool and continues the line for the bat family. Red Robin has never been looked at as merely just another Robin mantle but a mantle in it's own right, as seen in Kingdom Come when Dick takes Supermans side rather then Bruces another theme for the Red Robins.
there's nothing wrong with his name...nor his new costume for that matter. I wish people would stop trumping it, jeez. However! I am waiting on someone to call him a turkey. I know it's coming...it's inevitable.
Where does Tim like to eat?

We heard you liked Red Robin so we put your Red Robin in a Red Robin.

Do you think they have any Red Robins in Gotham?
Still hate the name with the same passion that I did when he first adopted it. Tim will always be my favorite member of the Bat family and I will always hate the name Red Robin (outside of Kingdom Come)
I don't like Red Robin's costume for the New 52, but I liked his costume before the New 52 as Red Robin

Red Robin is a great character addition to the Bat Family in my opinion.
Of course he was in the Bat-family before but I think making him Red Robin gave the Bat-family a bit of variety.

I think his current costume makes him look younger, I guess this makes him fit with the Teen Titans a bit more. Although I do enjoy drawing his old costume a lot and I think it's a good costume, It makes him look a bit to old for now, it might suit him in a few years.
