I don't have the scans but when Present Thor was trading fists with Gorr in issue #9 and the reverberations were shattering nearby planets, that's pretty stellar.

one shots the Surfer'a force field(amped with Loki's power) with a hammer-fist, i'd say it still counts as a punch cause it's bare handed

    http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Thor%20Stats/ThorStrength16.jpg

punches through an enchanted gate that is literally the entrance to a dimension

    http://s388.photobucket.com/user/OneDumbG0/media/Thor%20Stats/ThorStrength34347.jpg.html

causes earthquakes through asgard and the sound is too loud for heimdal who's on the rainbow bridge,

    http://s388.photobucket.com/user/OneDumbG0/media/Thor%20Stats/ThorStrength41476.jpg.html

KO's ares at triple power with a punch

    http://s388.photobucket.com/user/OneDumbG0/media/Thor%20Fights/ThorvsAres02.jpg.html

as soon as the forgotten one (amped by celestial aromr) gets mjolnir away from him Thor lets loose and ends him with his bare hands (this was back when Thor still transforemed back to dr. blake after 60 seconds if he lost the hammer) http://s388.photobucket.com/user/OneDumbG0/media/Thor%20Fights/ThorvsForgottenOne06.jpg.html

none of these are his best but some good ones to add

Id like to see more from the last decade or so. I know there was never a crisis at Marvel, but they really seemed to tone Thor down from the 90s on (to the point where Wolverine can blitz him lol).

To be fair Thor was using Mjolnir so not really a punching feat.

@fiodestromus: I read this and thought it was up with his best also. Im trying to think about the force something would need to go straight through the earth. this has to be near moon/planet level power.

@kgb725: I know but we barely get to see him do it with his fists alone. For some reason people think he is only capable of striking with great force when using mjolnir.

@del_torro: I tried to find some calculations but i couldn't. But i found out that if you fell through the earth it would take 42 minutes and you would reach a speed of 18,000 miles an hour at your peak. Now if we consider it took only a moment he must have punched him so hard that he could travel through 8000 miles in second with 4000 miles of it being iron and molten iron. He would have to travel at an initial speed of way over 500,000 miles and hour since he would be slowing down the hole time.

@coolcat4: I saw a calc on reddit, but it's for punching someone through the moon. Looks impressive, but I'll need someone smarter to break it down for me

It would also be a good durability feat for Bodolf, taking a hit like that without being knocked out, not to forget that ha and Thor were punching each other across continents right before that

His fight with BRB comes to mind where he ravaged the equivalent of a countryside in a strictly physical encounter.

@del_torro: I did the calculation you provided for punching a hole for the core of earth and it was about 9.31 x10^11 tons i also did not take into account Bodolfs large size. But there is also 4000 more miles of the earth. But it would still require even more force since this isn't a constant force all the way through. its 1 single for that carries all the way through the earth.

I just found an equation for a projectile going through iron. the equation is V^2 = (D^3*(Thickness/(.00005*D))/weight now D is bodolfs size and is weight.. Using the equation we find that Thor had to punch him so hard that he would be traveling at the velocity of 1.1 X 10^10 M/s to go through the earth. This is also for only the earths core.

So if we take the velocity and Amount of mass thor can generate with his arm which is more than the earths mass. We know this from feats and his armwrestling with hercules. He definitely can generate over the 1.8 X10^32 joules to destroy the earth.

EDIT: i forgot to mention the equation was for iron going thorugh iron seeing how bodolf is flesh it would take even more for him to go through the earth.

Yeah Thors fight with Bodolf was probably where he displayed his best striking power. Even more impressive that he did it when he was Younger. More modern Thor has stated that he uses Mjionir too much when his right hand would do the job.
