Yesterday we saw a couple new images for Thor: The Dark World. Today is the day the first teaser trailer is released and it came in the early hours of the morning. If you haven't checked it out, it is an iTunes exclusive video which you can see HERE.

But you prefer, Marvel UK has also released the trailer. It's pretty much the same exact trailer only says "October" instead of "This Fall." Check it out if you haven't already watched it several times.

Looks pretty good for a teaser trailer. Definitely will have a more epic feel than the first movie, which I did enjoy.

Thor: The Dark World opens in theaters (in the U.S.) on November 8.

When I first saw thst Loki was gonna be in it, I thought it meant Loki was yet again gonna cause some kind of trouble which would be a little repetitive. I'm glad they're taking a different direction. A team up?? I can't wait

Looks better than the first one. Thor looks too young to me though, and it does have that "here comes the alien ships to destroy Earth" thing that practically every comic movie has these days. You'd think with an Asgard story maybe we could skip that.

I love how people are saying it looks better than the first one after the first teaser trailer. It is a minute and a half of strategically edited video. You could make just about any movie look good if you only show 5 second scenes before dramatic cuts with ominous music.

Faaaaaantastic. I am not a Thor fan generally in the comics (at least not solo Thor) but the first movie was outstanding, and I love the looks of this one. Very impressive Marvel.

Seriously, it looks like (hopefully) we'll be seeing a lot of actions from Thor (which is bit lacking in the first movie in my humble opinion). Seeing Loki in that trailer was very cool. I'd love to see Thor and Loki team up to beat up the monsters!!

And Jane!!! Definitely very nice to see her back in the action. I'd love to see more of relationship between Thor and her in the film. Only time will tell!!

And lastly, 10/10!!!

Man of Steel was #1 most interested movie of the year till this trailer. This has potential to be Marvel's best. If it doesn't best Thor I would be extremely surprised.

This looks so good, the first one was excellent and totally underrated but this looks epic. I may or may not be more excited for this than Iron Man 3.

this, I have to admit Thor was a bore, but Thor was awesome in avengers. So idk about this movie?

Oh My!!!
I almost cried to this (specially after Loki's appearance!) this looks like a pretty hardcore movie, I got more excited by watching this than watching the whole first movie (don't get me wrong, I totally loved it, Thor has been my favorite of all times). But, is that an alliance what I see???
I've been wanting to see this for so loong!

Thoroughly enjoyed the first one, really looking forward to this. Much better action scenes typically!

I love to see that trailer it looks really interesting that this movie will be more about Asgard, apparently Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) are still important for the movie, i was doubtfull about Natalie coming back as she did not show on The Avengers but is good to know she will be there and i hope more comfotable than she was on the first, anyway it seem to very epic also Loki is back and he is soo cool right, can't wait for another Marvel buster.

I am more excited for this than Man of Steel.

When do we start?

Thor is my favorite hero of all time! The guy is tattooed on my arm. This looks EPIC! The first one was fantastic and this movie seems like it's going to build off of the success of the first film (much like Raimi's Spider-man 2 built off of the sucess of the first Spider-man) and just be 10x better.

Wow, I gotta say I was not expecting that much awesomeness.

When Thor smashes his hammer to the floor and all of the people around him fell, I thought it looked like a video game move....

The Phase 2 movie I'm most excited about....

This looks fantastic. Thor is such a baddass and also, looks like we're really getting a sense of Fantasy permeating through this. Which is great and really contrasts against the Realism/Sci Fi of Iron Man 3 and at least from the concept art the spy/political thriller of Captain America.

Looks good! It seems much darker than the first movie, which isn't my favorite direction, but it also looks a lot heavier in plot which should be nice since the first one wasn't overly dynamic story-wise. Hopefully we'll get a more interesting villain than the one-dimensional and whiny Loki.

Well that just beat the crap out of Man of Steel.

Being a fan of fantasy epics such as Willow and The Hobbit, I can already tell I will enjoy this.

Thor is the perfect Marvel character for the big screen. This looks great, even better than the first. Really hoping we can see some hints of what Thanos has planned for The Avengers 2, or possibly a Guardians of the Galaxy mention.

Wooooaaaahhh Oh my Odin that was awesome!

This looks very good. I was trying to find this on the way home and came across a fake one. Glad to find the real one now. I'm liking this Darkness threat that's being posed, suits the darker tone of this film. It seems to be trading the light hearted non serious humour for plot heavy exposition now so I'll be interested to see how that'll work out. With Loki back in the action and a love triangle brewing, this should make for a worthy sequel to Thor.

Loki fangirls? Am I missing something? Since when does Loki have fangirls? Unless you mean the Tom Hiddleston fangirls? :P

Yeah basically the same. They love Tom Hiddleston so they love Loki. Nothing against Hiddelston, but I just don't see the appeal. Loki on the other hand, I personally dislike. I thought he was a pretty annoying villain.

I do hope Thor shows off some more lightning and pure power in this one. Very interested to see who that bad guy in the ship is. I couldn't place him. Christopher Eccleston looks really cool as Malekith.
