    Thor Odinson is the All-father of Asgard /God of Thunder, offspring of All-Father Odin & Elder-Goddess Gaea. Combining the powers of both realms makes him an elder-god hybrid and a being of no perceivable limits. Armed with his enchanted Uru hammer Mjolnir which helps him to channel his godly energies. The mightiest and the most beloved warrior in all of Asgard, a staunch ally for good and one of the most powerful beings in the multiverse/omniverse. Thor is also a founding member of the Avengers.

    I'm not sure there is any must have individual comics so much as there are runs that are fun to read. I think there is already a thread on that which lists quite a few but usually its Simonson's run, the Eternals Saga, Jurgens run, JMS' run, Aaron's God of Thunder run and the Blood & Thunder arc plus Oemings end to Jurgens' vol 2 to name a few.

    @spambot: thanks.. I saw that list you mentioned after I posted this question, and I think that's got the answers I need. And thanks for your input as well.. I'll definitely check them out!
