More like some PIS. He's been made to fit whatever narrative the writer is striving for. That's usually what happens when writers and editors collaborate on "shocking" changes to a character and his supporting cast. Inexplicable things happen.

Do you guys think its setting up a plot line where odin is being corrupted and manipulated by cul. That seems like something that tight cause the asgardian civil war

@del_torro: Actually that has been speculated about by at least a couple other Viners who regularly post in the Thor forums, and it's definitely not out of the question Cul could be exerting some degree of control or influence over Odin. But then again that just seems so potentially obvious it makes you think there has to be some other explanation for the All Father's somewhat erratic behavior (and outside of the writers being relatively clueless about his character).

No, Hulkling impersonated him in order to antagonize Freya, so that she would cause the events in Loki Agent of Asgard in order to punish Loki for his actions in Loki, his sidekick and the guys this comic is named after. Its really all there and quite obvious if you read between lines and are totally stoned.
