Thor Odinson is the All-father of Asgard /God of Thunder, offspring of All-Father Odin & Elder-Goddess Gaea. Combining the powers of both realms makes him an elder-god hybrid and a being of no perceivable limits. Armed with his enchanted Uru hammer Mjolnir which helps him to channel his godly energies. The mightiest and the most beloved warrior in all of Asgard, a staunch ally for good and one of the most powerful beings in the multiverse/omniverse. Thor is also a founding member of the Avengers.
@dum529001: Please stop replying to my comments. I told you before and I'll tell you again; your words, your opinions and your statements mean nothing to me whatsoever. They have no credibility, they have no logic, they make no sense and they're founded on poor and biased bases. Stop trying to bait me because I've had enough of your BS excuse for debating on here. I've earned my respect and credibility on here through logical debating, rigorously researched empirical evidence and actually knowing what I'm talking about, which is more than can be said for you. And despite what you think, I'm a rather big Thor fan actually.
Next time, try looking hard in a mirror before accusing someone else of your own failings.
Good for you. Whatever you have to say to make yourself feel better about your trolling, say it.
Oh, and great job claiming to be a Thor fan yet telling straight-up lies about Thor's abilities and fights. Very convincing! You're not a Thor fan until you desperately try to disregard the makings of the character. (Sarcasm)
I think it was quite obviously supposed to be a star. And before the inevitable responses come - no - the fact that Aaron recently had him fight inside a star and survive doesnt mean another writer is going to see things the same way.
I hate to bump such an old Thread, but I just don't get where people say doesn't have combat speed feats, all the feats are in the first few pages of the respect Thread. People don't realize there is a difference between implied speed, and explicit speed. Explicit speed is where the writers spell it out for you on the page, but implied speed is left to the imagination of the action, being able to react to Mjolnir which travels faster than light with his back turned is a super speed feat, and just because the writer doesn't spell out for you that silver surfer is fighting at super speed doesn't mean he isn't, if you had super speed in a fight, why wouldn't you use it? It just doesn't make any sense. On top of that Thor has teleportation and time manipulation, Teleportation is instantaneous and faster than Super speed. People use feats of characters like the flash evacuating a city to be a high end speed feat, but Thor teleported a whole Ocean in an instant. To people saying that people aren't using super speed in a fight, prove to me that they aren't. People shouldn't have to have everything spelt our for them to put 2 and 2 together.
We see femThor flex her omni-directional lightning powers (without Mjolnir) to stun Agger and Exterminatrix - then casually grab the bullet with magic-midas-touch-blood right out of the air before it hits Agger right between the eyes.
Curious to see if Thor in Civil War 5 actually interacts with either Miss America or Photon given they're both in the light-speed range.
@british_loki: Done with the Belt of Strength, not by Thor's own power. Also you want Heirtothekingdom's Respect The Mightiest Avenger thread. That's the most recent Thor respect thread where you can post whatever respect thread feats you want.

Then by your logic this would make these street levellers casual hypersonic.
It's the best reaction feat modern Thor has ever shown for decades to be sure. I'll even say it's above street level reflexes at a push. It's just too bad this wasn't the real Thor, but Fem-Thor, who performed that feat. This is what casual hypersonic bullet catching feats look like.
Excellent Thread bruh. Really excellent. I am a fan of Thor and I swear I had a lil orgasm just reading through. lmfbao! kudos!I've began reading Thor issues and have discovered some feats and (wrong Thor debunks) I'd like to make known....if that's okay. There are some feats that may have been overlooked or undiscovered. I just started classic Thor and here are what I found.
STRENGTH
1.Thor hurls someone out of our solar system
2. Thor Throws with the "Force of a comet"
3.Thor hits absorbing man so hard, it send him to a deserted asteroid
4.Thor easily rips off a door built to withstand a ton of "T.N.T" or the "Most Powerful Acetylene Torch ever invented"
SUPERBREATH/WIND MANIPULATION
1.Thor's hurricane breath pierces the dimensional veil...idk how to quantify this but I'm guessing it's pretty up there.lol
2. Thor's "winds of a thousand worlds" are apparently unstoppable
SUPERSPEED
1.Thor does something suspiciously resembling speedster movement
2. Thor's immense speed being complimented/referenced positively
3. Loki plotting to reduce Thor's speed seeing as it was hindering the manifestation of his plan to humiliate Thor
4.Thor's speed is described as scientifically impossible
MAGNETIC MANIPULATION
Thor drawing the magnetic forces of the "Galaxy"
INTELLIGENCE
Thor is an electrical engineer??????????
MOST POWERFUL...I think?
MISCELLANEOUS
Thor casually stopping time
DEBUNKING THE DEBUNK
There's a popular discount Going around that Thor's victory against Glory happened via plot and they normally use This scan as proof
But That is wrong...why?
Because this is from "Thor's" 2ND issue in the chaos war collection titled, "Thor 02, Chaos War#12"
When Thor faced and defeated Glory for the second time...now this was an amped Thor against a Weaker, but all the same quite immensely powerful Glory
Here are some scans;
Hell even Thor's female companion makes reference to this being the second fight and by saying that Thor was prepared to battle Glory and die "Again"...
....as shown above
So in conclusion, The fight scene, below which is the first confrontation between an "unamped Thor" and Full power Glory, where Glory lost to Thor is still valid. Thor won fair and square....seemingly at the cost of his life. All this took place in (Thor 01, Chaos War#4) Thor's win over Glory Is VALID
That's all I got for now. I'll be submitting new feats I see as I go along to this space. Thor is one Overpowered character and deserves all the hype he gets and more.Ciao
I'm thinking of doing Thor's skill, battle wits and combat speed thread. Reading early classic Thor issue gave me the idea as of the more than 5 dozen issues I have read till now, his use of skill and mid-battle improvision have been fairly consistent. Once I have all of his solo runs (It'll be soon), I may create an in-detail thread about it.
Found a few good ones. This thread is pretty old and long, so kindly ignore if they have already been posted in a previous page somewhere.
During the Acts of Vengeance storyline (Avengers (1963) #313B), Thor imprisons Loki inside a chasm he created and slams it shut with his bare hands. Supposedly, a 'million ton' of rocks. But Avengers (1963) Annual 19 shows us that the chasm extended all the way to the Earth's crust.
I haven't bothered with calcs but this should easily be a billion+ ton feat. Yes, Thor did say it was a 'million ton', but I dont think he was being literal. I suppose it was his way of saying it was very heavy and there was no way for him to get an accurate measure on the spot. But that's just my take on it.
Its nothing game changing for his tier, but for a character sorely lacking in lifting/moving strength feats, its not too shaby.
A battle axe shatters on his chest. Once again, nothing that great for his tier, but Thor's piercing resistance shows up so rarely that people doubt it even exists. Thor (1998) #82
