    Thor proposes to Jane Foster, at peace with his love for a mortal woman. But at what cost to the Thunderer? On Olympus, Hercules realizes the gravity of his agreement with Pluto…while his father Zeus casts judgment!

    1. "The Verdict of Zeus!" - (Lee / Kirby/ Colletta) Thor resolves to give up his immortality to be with Jane Foster, however it is The Day of Three Worlds, and he must honor an ancient prophecy before he can appeal to Odin. Meanwhile, Hercules desperately searches for anyone who will fight in his name and hopefully prevent his eternal damnation! This story also marks the first appearance of Ares in Marvel Universe.
    2. Tales of Asgard, Home of the Mighty Norse Gods "The Hordes of Harokin!" - (Lee / Kirby / Colletta) Loki is sentenced to the Well of Eternal Sleep, and Thor and the Warriors Three are sent to recover the Warlock's Eye.

    Despite having appeared in more than 40 consecutive issues of Journey Into Mystery and Thor, the Thunder God hasn't yet had a really epic multi-part story before now. This story arc, featuring the Thor / Hercules team-up, is that first great epic.
