    Dr. David Loren is many things: child prodigy, inventor, genius, slacker... mass murderer. When a military think tank's smartest scientist decides he can no longer stomach creating weapons of destruction, will he be able to think his way out of his dilemma or find himself subject to the machinations of smaller men?

    This follows a smart-a** genius, scientist (Dr. Loren) who, in order, to have an easy life, proverbially sells his soul to the military. After not being as productive as his superiors would like, he's told to either produce more effective tools/weapons or his whole operation will be scrapped. I won't say more than that as I want you to go out and read it but Loren is the kinda guy I'd like to have a beer with, and, on occasion, discuss sciencey things.     Where am I coming from?I independent comics, but I rarely read a Topcow comic. Had no idea who anyone was on the creative team of this book, but expected good things from it nonetheless. From the cover, I expected one of two things; it could be a thriller OR it could be an action story. Surprise, surprise; as far as I can tell it's a drama. Threw me way off guard.How did it deliver?When I open the first issue of a comic without any recognizable characters, I want to be blown away. I'm not saying...
